Bruce Hensley, age 79, went to heaven on Friday, March 4, 2022. Bruce was born in Mecca, California and resided in Madera, California. He was a graduate of Clovis High School and California State University, Fresno. He impacted many people throughout his life, especially as an ESL ( English Second Language) Teacher at Madera Adult School. In his spare time from a young adult through retirement he loved being outside either hunting or fishing. He was an amazing man, husband, father, brother, grandfather, soon to be a great grandfather and friend.
Bruce leaves behind his wife Betty of 48 years; son Joel spouse Katie, daughter Stacy Koop spouse Mike, and son Jeff; grandsons Brandon spouse Ali, Dakota spouse Katie, and Gannon; granddaughter Annabelle; sister Diane Wilhite, and brother-in-law Keith Bush. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo and Cleo Hensley, and sister LaJune Bush.
We will celebrate Bruce's life at Holy Spirit Church 355 E. Champlain Drive, Fresno, California 93730-1273 on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations in memory of Bruce be sent to the following organizations or a charity of your choice:
