Beverly Kitchen

Beverly Calaway Kitchen was born November 6, 1924 in Fresno, CA to parents Homer and Elsie Elias. She passed away May 15, 2017 in Fresno. Beverly attended schools in Fresno and graduated from Fresno High and Fresno State College, where she was a member of the Delta Gamma sorority.

After earning a teaching certificate, she taught one year in Sanger and 29 years at Turner Elementary School in Fresno. In 1976, she married Burl Kitchen, also of Fresno. They were married 38 years until his passing in 2014. In retirement, they enjoyed spending time in Aptos, CA.

Beverly is predeceased by her parents, and her husband Burl.

She is survived by her sons: Allison(Buz) Calaway and wife, Janna, of Tehachapi, CA; Loren Calaway of Salinas and Joel Calaway of Fresno. She also leaves four grandchildren: Patrick Calaway and wife, Mandy, of Monticello, MS; Cortney McCarthy and husband, Ryan, Matthew Calaway and Bethany Calaway, all of Fresno, CA. Also mourning her passing are three great-grandchildren: Lance White Jr., Tristan Calaway and Abigayle Calaway of Monticello, MS.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Lisle Funeral Home, 1605 L Street, Fresno CA 93721 from 2:00 to 7:00 pm

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Belmont Memorial Park, 201 North Teilman Avenue, Fresno CA 93706 at 10:00 am.
