She was born to the late Jacob and Alice Miller, January 24, 1930, in Fresno, California. June attended Edison High School, Class of 1948.
She married Glen Babcock in 1948. June is survived by three children: Sandra Coulter, of Fair Oaks, California; Pamela Reed of Exeter, California; and Edward Babcock, of Fresno, California. She is also survived by two grandchildren: John Harris of Oviedo, Florida; and Robert Harris of Fresno, California, two step-grandchildren, Gilbert & Dustin Mendez of Fresno; four great-grandchildren; Emily and Ava Harris of Oviedo, Florida and Patrick and Ryan Harris of Fresno, California; and four step-great-grandchildren, Michael, Alexis, Mariah, and Jordan Mendez, of Fresno, CA; four step-great-great grandchildren, Zaiden, Heaven, Ava, and Aaliyah Mendez of Fresno, CA. June was predeceased by her loving husband Glen in 1989, twin sister Jean Leisle of Fresno in 2014, and younger sister Marilyn DeBenedetti of Fresno in 2022.
June retired from Fresno City Unified in Nutrition Services where she worked at Edison High School. She also had an in-home entrepreneurial ironing business until she was 91. She was a member of the Edison Social Club Auxiliary, served on the Executive Board and helped with Beerock, Fresh German Sausage, and Noodle production, and loved attending the BINGO nights.
She enjoyed watching her soap operas, The Young & the Restless, and The Bold & the Beautiful; game shows, The Price is Right, Let’s Make a Deal, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune; reality TV, The Bachelor and Bachelorette, Big Brother, Survivor, The Amazing Race, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, and America’s Got Talent; and The Hallmark Channel especially the Golden Girls. June also made close to 100 Chocolate Chip Banana Nut Breads during the holidays for family and friends.
