Bart J. Boccabella

Bart was born on March 11, 1965 and passed away on March 16, 2010 with his loving wife, Monica by his side. He was 45 years old. Bart was born in Dos Palos, California. He was the son of John Joseph Boccabella who has preceded him in death and Ella Nora Boccabella who is survived.

Bart attended San Joaquin Memorial High School in Fresno, California where he met the love of his life and best friend in 1979. Bart and Monica were married in 1987. He attended Reedley College and moved to San Jose, California in 1987, where he started his family and made his home.

Bart cherished the time he spent with his son. It could be his little league games, monster truck jams or just trying to keep up with him. He loved the outdoors whether he was riding his dirt bike with Uncle Jimmy, shooting skeet or just gardening at home.

Bart will always be known for his smile, gentle nature and compassion.

Bart is survived by Monica Boccabella , his devoted wife of 23 years; his son, Dominic Marco Boccabella; his brother, Bret Boccabella and wife Michele; and grandmother, Eloise Dolzadelli; his mother and father-in-law. Alex and Lynda Montanez; his sister-in-law, Denie Montanez; brother-in-law and wife Anthony and Nancy Montanez; his uncle, Jim Boccabella; and his aunts, Arlene and Sammy. He was also the proud uncle to numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Sunday, March 21, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Shrine of St. Therese Catholic Church on Monday, March 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Belmont Memorial Park.
