Mr. Arnold Orante Gomez

Arnold was a loving husband, brother, Tio, godfather, uncle, and great-uncle. For 45 years, he worked as a hairdresser at what were then iconic salons in Fresno including Gwen's, Weinstocks, and The Hair Odyssey. He eventually opened his own Salon, 3's Company. In later years, he finished his career at Modern Cuts.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Gomez; his siblings, Joe Gomez and his wife Bertha, Lisa Rodriguez and her partner Felix Garza, Eric Gomez and his partner David Bonetto, Alex Gomez and his wife Nancy, Juan Gomez and his wife Elena, Maria R. Gomez and Francisco J. Gomez; his 11 nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held at Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns & Blair Funeral Home on Monday, September 26, 2016, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. followed by a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:00 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's Cathedral on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 9:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fresno Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Arnold's name to your favorite charity.
