Love is kind. Angelina Vaughn exuded love. She came into this world on February 14, 1928 in Marion, Arkansas. She went home into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, August 5, 2011, in Fresno, California. She was greeted, within the twinkling of an eye, by her beloved husband, Marcus, and son-in-law, James L. Griffin, Jr.. Many family members and friends welcomed her home.
The daughter of Italian immigrant parents, Alfonso & Giselda Nodini, she was her mother's joy. As a young girl, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and served Him faithfully all the days of her life. She was an Ambassador for Christ and took every opportunity to share the 'Good News.'
Through church-family friends, she met and married Marcus E. Vaughn, Sr. September 5, 1946. She was just a child of 18 years, and he 23, on their wedding day. Their loving relationship lasted 65 years. During their life together, God blessed them with four children; Marcia, Giselle, Marcus Jr. and David. They were further blessed with nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She loved and lived for her family and to serve her Lord. She was the finest example of a Godly woman, mother, nurturer and spiritual leader. These were just a few of her gifts from God. She never met a stranger and would go out of her way to help anyone. She will be remembered by all who knew her.....as love.
Angelina is survived by daughters, Marcia Norred and her husband Chuck, and Giselle Griffin; sons, Marcus Jr. and David and his wife Krista; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Mary and brother Sonny, of West Memphis, Arkansas.
