Alvin William Pratt passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020 at the age of 92. Born on June 9, 1928, in Okemah, Oklahoma, Al moved with his family to Fresno in his early teens. After graduation from Fresno Technical High School., Al proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps. In 1950, Al married the love of his life, Edna Mae Klein, and they enjoyed 70 years together, including many years of boating and RVing. A member of Teamster’s Local 431, Al was a heavy construction truck driver who loved farm auctions and managed to fill several acres at his ranch with “antique” equipment.
Al is survived by his wife, Mae, four children including Barbara Bengel of Isleton, Darrell Pratt and his wife Desi of Fresno, Debbie Jones and her husband Albert of Fresno, and Keith Pratt and wife Deborah of Missouri, grandchildren including Sarah Cullom, Shannon Monroe, Matthew Bengel, Marie Hicks, Michael Pratt, Cody Pratt, and Joanna Henry, 11 great grandchildren, his brother, Jimmy Pratt of Fresno, his brother-in-law, Ted Pappas of Walnut Creek, and 9 nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his parents, Alice Johnson and Bill Pratt, his sisters Louise Pappas and Dorothy Pratt, and his granddaughter Michelle Jarnecke.
Private graveside services will be held.
