Steve Wells

Steve Wells, age 65, of Jimmerson Lake, Fremont, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2015.
Steve was born in Angola, Indiana on October 4, 1949, the son of Franz and Claramae (Wolf) Wells.
He married Rita J. Boyle on April 17, 1971 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, she preceded him in death on December 8, 2008.
Steve graduated from Fremont High School in 1968.
Steve enjoyed fishing hunting, playing poker, and Karaoke. He formerly was a member of the Orland American Legion. He worked many jobs over the years, and especially enjoyed working at the Corner Landing Bait and Tackle. He also worked for Tokheim Corporation in Ft. Wayne, TI Automotive in Ashley, New Horizons Bakery in Fremont, he also delivered pizza’s for the Angola Pizza Hut, and was a manager for Hardees in Angola.
Survivors include two daughters, Beth (Jim) Mahony of Angola, Indiana, and Jyl (Ryan) Hoehn of Evansville, Indiana, a son, Monti (Autumn) Wells of Montgomery, Michigan, four grandchildren, Madison Wells, Hope Fisher, Alexandra Hoehn, and Logan Hoehn, a sister, Kay (Joseph) Renowden of North Palm Beach, Florida, nieces, Julianne and Deborah Renowden of North Palm Beach, Florida, and Lesli (Keith) Hall of Angola, Indiana, a great-niece, Josie Hall of Angola, Indiana, and aunts, Violet Adams and Juanita Wells of Angola, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rita Wells, his parents, Franz and Claramae Wells, and sisters, Linda Sue Wells and Jean Marie Wells.
A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be held at the Orland American Legion Post 423, 6215 North State Road 327, Orland, Indiana, at 2 pm Thursday, April 30, 2015. There will also be an Adult Celebration of Life held at 2 pm Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Jimmy’s on James, 3885 N. Bayview Road, Angola, Indiana.
Memorials are requested in care of the family.
