Roxanne Ra Sherburne

Roxanne Ra Sherburne passed from this life Monday, November 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. Roxanne was born in Angola, Indiana, February 16, 1954, the daughter of the late F. Henry and Arma Lou (Shank) Sherburne. She is survived by her brother Steve (Sue) Sherburne of Fort Wayne and sister Kasandra (Michael) Hoover of Rock Hill, South Carolina, as well as nieces and nephew: Jennifer (Craig) Eckert, Joy Nuanah, Diana (Matt) Delaney, Brent (Alexandra) Freeman, Kathleen (Johnathan) Grismore, Denise (Dustin) Sewelin, Erin (Travis) Heckber, Angela (Kyle) Richart, and 33 great nieces and nephews.

Roxanne was a graduate of Angola High School and Saint Francis College. She had a career in teaching middle school math and as a computer program analyst. She enjoyed traveling, especially to see lighthouses on the Maine coast. Her greatest joy was crafting and was especially gifted at paper crafts and stamping. She loved teaching craft classes and sharing that joy with others, inspiring many.

Visitation will be 2:30 pm Wednesday, December 18 with a prayer service at 3:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan – Speedway at 2950 N High School Road, Indianapolis. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 am Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Lakeside Cemetery in Fremont, Indiana. Father Raul Marroquin will officiate the graveside service.
