Michael Patrick Blodgett

Michael Patrick “Mike” Blodgett, age 56, of Fremont, Indiana passed away peacefully at home with his companion by his side on June 21, 2024 after battling cancer. He was born on March 17, 1968 in Xenia, Ohio to Barbara (Workman) Blodgett and Rodney Blodgett, both deceased. Mike was a 1986 graduate of Angola High School, with a close group of friends that still gather. He was a 1992 Tri-State University graduate. In his earlier years he worked in the awning business as a salesman. Later, he then opened his own awning business in Indianapolis, Indiana and a branch in Fairhope, Alabama. Throughout his years and career changes, Mike’s love of playing instruments and music never faded. Eventually, Mike moved back to his home town of Angola, Indiana and worked for Cardinal Glass in Fremont, Indiana. Survivors include his companion, Stacey (Goings) Sherburne of Fremont, Indiana, his Aunt Margaret (Workman) Klein of Youngstown, Ohio, sister Kathleen Blodgett of Wisconsin, two brothers Brandon (Tasha) Blodgett of Angola, Indiana, Matthew (Libbi) Blodgett of Kendallville, Indiana, four nieces and two nephews. Graveside Services and Burial will be at Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana,Thursday June 27, 2024 at 11:00 am, public welcome. Pastor and friend Alan Fanning will conduct the service.
