Marilyn J. Shoup

She was born on June 19, 1940 in Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Kenneth and Violet (Eisenhour) Canon, they preceded her in death.

Marilyn graduated from Flint High School in the class of 1958.

She married Blaine L. Shoup on July 1, 1961 at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

Marilyn worked for the Tri-State University Publication Center for 16 years, and later worked for five years as the manager of the University Book Store.

Marilyn attended Angola Assembly of God for many years. She enjoyed quilting, baking, cooking, doing yard work, gardening, reading, and playing solitaire (Spider) on the computer.

Survivors include her husband, Blaine L. Shoup of Angola, Indiana, a son, Michael (Karen) Shoup of Angola, Indiana, a daughter, Carla (Mark) Etzler of Angola, Indiana, six grandchildren, Erica (Justin) Roberts, Patrick Heller (Holly Hiner), Eden (Bryan) Bradley, Stephen (Jackie) Shoup, Amanda Shoup, and Thomas Shoup, ten great-grandchildren, Dominic Crain, Cailyn Roberts, Gavin Roberts, Olivia Roberts, Tristan Heller, Braiden Heller, Remington Bradley, Kanon Bradley, Samuel Shoup, and Elijah Shoup, a sister, Julie (Clyde) Spangle of Thorsby, Alabama, a brother, Ronald (Barbara) Canon of Holland, Ohio, and a sister-in-law, Lydia Canon of Angola, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Dennis Canon.

Visitation will be held from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana, with Pastor Jeffrey Gowen officiating.

Burial will follow services at Covenanter Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
