Ken was born on June 26, 1953 in Pueblo, Colorado to the late Harry and Doris (Anderson) Blackburn.
He married Trisha Kerschner on September 1, 1984 in Waterville, Ohio.
Ken was a former World Drag Bike Champion, he enjoyed participating in dog sports, hunting, competition shooting and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play hockey.
He formerly worked in heating and air conditioning, and later started the Fremont Dog Lodge with his wife Trisha. He was also a professional dog trainer and never stopped learning everything he could about dogs.
Survivors include his wife, Trisha Blackburn of Fremont, Indiana, sons, Scott (Michelle) Blackburn of Fremont, Tyler (Krystal) Blackburn of Fremont, Indiana and Kyle (Allison) Blackburn of Angola, Indiana, grandchildren, Jovi, Sawyer, Lorelai, Lane, Justin, Grayson, Emry and Rory, sister, Joyce (Jeff) Lennon of Pueblo West, Colorado, brother, Jay (Kristin) Blackburn of Fremont, Indiana, and mother-in-law, Barbara Kerschner of Waterville, Ohio.
He was also preceded in death by a sister Colleen, and father-in-law, Delbert Kerschner.
Visitation will be held from 5 pm until 7 pm Monday, April 21, 2025 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Zion Missionary Church, Fremont, Indiana. Rev. Jon Bruney will officiate the service. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday at Zion Missionary Church.
