He was born on September 24, 1942 in Hillsdale, Michigan, the son of Richard Myers and Ethel (Wheaton) Whaley, they preceded him in death.
He attended school in Pittsford, Michigan, and later graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1960, and attended Keiser College, in Melbourne, Florida.
He served our Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
Glenn married Betty Jean Decker on October 23, 1970 in Angola, Indiana.
He retired from McDonnell Douglas Corporation/Boeing Corporation. After retirement Glenn and Betty moved to the Pioneer, Ohio area, from Florida in 2005. He was a member of the Lakeview United Brethren Church, Camden, Michigan. He enjoyed music, and played in the Praise Team at church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Myers of Pioneer, Ohio, his children, Scott (Lisa) Hayes, Matt (Diane) Edinger, Fred (Sue) Myers, Amy Bilder, and Shane (Cindy) Myers, ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mary Myers, and Kathy Phetteplace, a brother, John Myers, his step-mother, Ruby Myers, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours will be held from 4-6 pm Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Also, there will be a Military Honors Ceremony held at 6 pm following the visitation at the funeral home, and will be conducted by members of the Fremont American Legion Post Color Guard, and the Ft. Wayne Army Military Honors team.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 am Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Lakeview United Brethren Church, 4616 East Territorial Road, Camden, Michigan 49232, with Pastor Steve Smith officiating.
Burial will be at a later time at Osborne Cemetery, Amboy Township, Michigan
