She was born on May 4, 1929 in Angola, Indiana, the daughter of Alva and Ollie Grace (Elliott) Allen.
She graduated from Fremont High School. She was resident of Elkhart, Indiana, and was formerly of Fremont, Indiana, and had also lived in Coldwater, Michigan, Harlingen, Texas, and Kendallville, Indiana.
Anna Belle worked for Fremont Schools for many years, and also formerly worked at Pokagon State Park, Angola Wire, and the Shepherd of the Hill Nursing Home, Kendallville, Indiana.
She enjoyed bird watching, traveling, and in her younger years, going fishing.
Survivors include, her children, Sheila Roderick of Elkhart, Indiana, Dennis (Anna B.) McHenney of Kendallville, Indiana, Michael (Florence) McHenney of Coldwater, Michigan, and Patrick McHenney of Elkhart, Indiana, six grandchildren, Jim McHenney, Steven McHenney, Tom McHenney, Eric McHenney, Tammy Collins (Will St. Louis), and Tara Van Houton, eleven great-grandchildren, Mark, Scott, Courtney, Kimberly, Grace, Finn, Cohen, Dakota, Destiny, Dalton, and Shelby, her sister, Nora Allen of Elkhart, Indiana, and her former husband, Gerald McHenney of Rome City, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alva and Ollie Grace Allen, and her husband, Ernest R. Forrester.
Calling hours will be held from 1-3 pm Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
A Celebration of her life will following the calling hours at 4 pm Tuesday, at the residence of Michael and Florence McHenney, 598 Stokes Road, Coldwater, Michigan.
Memorials are requested to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
