Alice Marie Doolittle

She was born on March 17, 1943 to Melvin and Ruth (Armontrout) Buck, and grew up on the family farm.

Alice graduated from Quincy High School in 1962.

She married Jerry Doolittle on June 16, 1962 in Tekonsha, Michigan. He preceded her in death September 27, 2021.

Alice worked as a CNA, and worked in Coldwater, Angola, Auburn, and Kendallville.

She enjoyed reading, cross word puzzles, sewing, cooking, animals, working in the garden, and being outside.

Survivors include a son, Rusty Doolittle of Fremont, Indiana, a daughter, Dawn Merrill of Huntsville, Alabama, and grand-daughters, Sarah Merrill and Amanda Merrill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ruth Buck, her husband, Jerry Doolittle, a daughter, Katherine Doolittle, two sisters, Caroline Voss, and Marilyn Hill, and two brothers, Kenneth Buck, and Richard Buck.

Funeral Services will be held at 12 pm Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Rev. Paul Metzger will officiate the service.

Visitation will be held prior to the services from 11 am until 12 pm Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.

Burial will follow the services at Lakeview Cemetery, Quincy, Michigan.
