I met mike at CA 6 years ago. Our bond was instant. He had a way of letting you know he wanted to be friends and that was staring. Our first month of knowing each other was just that, eye contact. He would come to the front multiple times a day just to look at me and I would look back. He decided to actually speak to me one day and that was it for us. We did have a falling out while I was still at CA, but even then he would always let me know we were ok - even without speaking. Everyday at clock in he would do little things to me. Pat the top of my head, hit the lever on my seat just to see how fast I’d hit the ground, or pulled my bangs and called me a unicorn. He would buy me coffees still and make my plate of food for me at work when Johnny would buy lunches. He was always looking out for me. So, this past year and a half when he needed me, I was there. I’ve learned that there’s so much more to Mike than what he shows. I’ve known Mike for years, but this past year I’ve got to know Michael. I’ve learned who his lifelong friends are, I’ve learned what he’d name a baby girl (it’s Autumn), and I’ve also learned he has a personal vendetta against mosquitoes and his baby toe. Michael is “one of a kind” and I’m so grateful that he let me love him.
