Mason was born in San Francisco at the Chinese Hospital. He was the youngest of three children and the family grew up in the North Beach District of San Francisco. Mason’s family owned Chuck’s Hof Brau in San Francisco. Mason’s father would say that all of the proceeds went to Mason’s stomach, a lover of food since a child.
In his young adult years, Mason graduated from Galileo High School in 1974. He then attended college at San Francisco City College and graduated with an associate’s degree in Engineering in 1976. He was recruited right out of college to work at Rolm.
Mason worked in high tech and tech sales until the mid 2000’s. In December of 2005 he found his home with the Dignity Memorial family where he worked as a Family Service Counselor at Olivet and Woodlawn. He was promoted to Sales Manager in 2007 and went to Cedar Lawn.
Mason married Janice the love of his life in November 2010. They shared 6 good years and many memories together. Mason deeply loved his step daughters Marissa and Ali and was very proud of them and loved his role as father.
Mason was never a man to live in the past. He lived in the present and looked forward to the future. He is known for his passion for life and the way he shares that with his friends and family.
