parents would move to Mountain View, Ca. Growing up, Florence was involved in many extra curricular activities such as swimming, playing the piano, and gymnastics. Florence fell in love with gymnastics and would continue to pursue it until her early to mid 20s, receiving many awards and accolades along the way. Florence was a student at St. Josephs Catholic School in which she spent her primary years and would go on to attend Los Altos High School. During her time at Los Altos, she was part of the cheerleading team and was also captain of the varsity gymnastics team. She graduated and
received her high school diploma in 1988. Florence continued her studies at De Anza College. While balancing school and work, she also spent her time coaching gymnastics. Florence was able to receive her Associates Degree and transfer to Cal State Hayward (now Cal State East Bay) where she was studying to become a sports physical therapist. At 26, Florence and her partner George welcomed their first child and would welcome their second child six years later. Florence was a devoted and loving mother, always putting her children first. While raising her two children, Florence was able obtain her pharmacy technician license in 2007. Changing careers in 2011, Florence became a client services technician for the County of Santa Clara, in which she helped people understand different types of services and benefits they could obtain. Florence worked for the county for 12 years and was well loved by staff and the clients they served, often going above and beyond what was required of her. Florence made her transition into eternity on October 18th, 2023. Florence is preceded in eternal rest by her grandparents Tarcila Bugayong, Benigno Bugayong, Luisa Abrenilla, Anastasio Abrenilla, and her mother-in-law Aileen Seronick. Florence leaves her two children, Brianna Barnes and George Barnes the 3rd, the father of her children and dearest friend, George Barnes Jr., her parents, Felicitas and Romeo, her boyfriend, Chris Sandon, and many other family members and friends to celebrate her life and cherish her wonderful memories.
