Sue Zidek

She was born on January 10, 1937, in Vandergrift, PA, daughter of the late William Patterson and Grace Caldwell.

A devoted card player and bingo enthusiast, Sue relished the thrill of the game and the satisfaction of a well-earned win. Her love for casinos, particularly Charles Town in West Virginia, was a cherished tradition she shared with her husband, Marty. Their trips were filled with laughter, excitement, and the kind of memories that will be treasured forever.

A dedicated fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Sue was a fixture at many home games, always cheering them to victory.

Sue was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband Martin A. Zidek; son, Martin Edward; sisters, Janet Stemmerich(Roy) and Florence Rainey (Elmer). She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie McAllister(David) and Cindy Montrief(Kevin), grandchildren, Carolyn Woodson(Matt), Martin W. Zidek, and Lauren McAllister(Chris); great grandchildren, Mckenzie Woodson, Parker Woodson, and Sylvia Godwin; numerous nieces and nephews; her besties in fur, Seger and Molly.

The Zidek family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff of Harmony at Falls Run memory care unit for their outstanding care for the last 6 months.

A visitation will occur Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.

A funeral mass will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Saint Mary Of The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1009 Stafford Avenue, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.

Burial to follow at 12:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 3702 Loren Drive, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
