Rose Marie Miller, 78, departed this life to be with her Lord on June 5, 2017. She was born in Fredericksburg, VA on June 30, 1938 and graduated from Stafford High School. She worked for over 40 years with the federal government at Ft Belvoir.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Fritter and Grace Randall Fritter; her brother Thomas Fritter, Jr.; her sister Lorene Hume; and recently by a cherished niece Diane Purks.
Survivors include her loving husband of 32 years, Robert Lee (Bobby) Miller; stepchildren Robert Lee Miller, Jr. (Laurie) of Locust Grove, VA; Kenneth Eugene Miller (Sarah) of Little Washington, VA; and Michele Lorrraine Miller (fiancé Mark O’Quinn) of Fredericksburg; and numerous grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Lindbergh A Fritter, sister Emma Jane (Janie) Matthews, and brother-in-law Frank Hume all of Stafford and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rose Marie passed away in Knoxville, TN after a brief unexpected illness while enroute to attend her beloved “Country Music Fan Fest”.
Rose Marie’s greatest treasure was her devoted husband Bobby and her family who she loved going out with for meals. She didn’t know a stranger. Her best friend and sister Janie were always on the go. Rose Marie also cherished her cats which brought her many hours of pleasure which she and her friend Polly fed several times daily. She continued to spend time with previous co-workers and lifelong friends. Rose Marie will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 10, at noon followed by the funeral service at 1:00 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, VA. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
