Ronda Carol Stanton was born in Currie, North Carolina on October 2, 1957 to the late Deacon Alfred Keith and the late Mary C. Keith. She departed this life quietly on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Mary Washington Hospital surrounded by her children and family.
She was educated within the Alexandria City Public Schools System. She began her career at the age of 17 after the successful completion of a summer internship program with the federal government. After 30 years, she retired in 2010 from the United States Department of Defense, Fire & Emergency Services in Fort Belvoir, VA. She received numerous accolades and promotions throughout her years of government service and helped countless others advance within their government careers and educational paths. Many peers will recall her grace, laughter, and commitment to doing the best job she could, always.
She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Darryl Christopher Stanton Sr, “Blue”. This union was blessed with three children and 41 years of faithfulness, love and devotion.
She loved her family and friends, near and far, unconditionally. She was an active, independent, and caring woman who spent most of her life thinking about and caring for others. She surrounded herself with friends and family, which is where she felt most comfortable and loved.
She leaves to cherish her legacy : three children, Darryl Christopher Stanton, Jr (Bobbie) of Ruther Glen, VA, Marcus Tyree Stanton (Monique) of Quantico, VA, and Korey Marie Butler (Philip) of Raleigh, NC; 4 grandchildren, Helana, Mahalia, Philip Jr, and Justice; brother, Al G. Keith of Alexandria, VA; brother, Barry B. Keith (Sharon) of Accokeek, MD; brother, Gene Keith of Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Tracey Keith of Oxon Hill, MD and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, Alfred and Mary, Ronda was also preceded in death by her brother, Elton M. Keith, her sister, Joyce M. Keith, and her beloved husband, Darryl C. Stanton, Sr “Blue”.
