He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion Post 55. He was a member of Fredericksburg United Methodist Church and owner operator of the ESSO Station on Williams St. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and eating all types of seafood.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Ann Guy- Johnson of Stafford and Joann Pizano of Kentucky; sister, Leota Pendleton of Spotsylvania; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Trivett; daughter Annette Beers; and a grandson, Kevin Bland.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, January 17, 2011 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. A service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at 11:00 AM, burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
