Richard believed in hard work and helping others. Whether for family, friends, or a stranger, he was a steady presence, offering his support and guidance. His kindness came through action and a belief in responsibility. He expected the best from those he helped, showing care through his efforts rather than words.
He had a passion for cars and passed on his knowledge to his children. He also coached his sons Jeff and Justin in Little League baseball and served as a dedicated Boy Scout troop leader during their younger years. He loved 70s music. He enjoyed biking with his son Jason, played basketball and football in high school, loved horseback riding in his youth, and had a gift for gardening. His life was rooted in supporting his family. He cared deeply for his youngest daughter, offering her the support she needed during trying times. His love for her was steadfast and unwavering, and he did all he could to provide encouragement, stability, and protection when she needed it most.
Alzheimer's took many moments from Richard’s later years, especially time with his grandchildren. Despite this, his love never faded, and he remained present in every way he could.
Richard leaves behind his sons, Jeffrey and Justin Bruere; grandchildren Matthew, Jared, Aleithia, Xander, Brayden, and Cassie; and the mother of his children and good friend, Diane Seferian. He was predeceased by his son Jason, daughter Jessica, and grandson JJ.
His memory lives on in our stories, our love, and the strength we carry forward.
Rest in peace, Richard. You were deeply loved and will be missed.
