She was born on July 12, 1988 in Warren, Michigan to Duane and Joan (Siglow) Foglesong.
She grew up a competitive dancer and continued at a varsity level in high school at Stafford Senior where she graduated in 2007. Rachael was a proud Monarch and received her Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University in 2011.
Rachael was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. She had a loving nature and made it her mission to connect with everyone she came across. Whether it was concerts, marathons, movie nights, video games, parties, or dancing, connecting with people was effortless.
Rachael loved to laugh and loved to see other people laugh. She loved being the life of the party. Growing up in a house surrounded by brothers attributed to her fearlessness, patience, and unique sense of humor that everyone grew to cherish. She was selfless and was always willing to lend her ear and heart to anyone who needed it. When she would ask how you were, it was never trivial but always sincere. Rachael cared deeply for each and every person that was in her life.
More than anything else in the world, Rachael loved being a mother to Iris Jane and Ronan Francis. She was always full of pride and eager to share stories about their daily adventures. She especially contributed to nurturing their creativity, imagination, and curiosity of the world.
Rachael always prioritized finding joy in life and sharing that with others. Her family requests that you do the same. Find true joy in life and share it with those around you.
Survivors include her parents: Duane and Joan Foglesong; husband: Craig Tyler Jackson; two children: Iris Jane Jackson and Ronan Francis Jackson; nine siblings and in laws: Kurt (Elizabeth), Krista (John), Karen (Cory), Andy (Holly), Bobby (Mariah), Nick (Amy), Nathan (Simone), Travis and Stephen (Geri); father and mother in laws: Kevin and Fran Jackson; brother and sister in laws: Kent and Logan (Brooke) Jackson and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Rachael’s life will be held at 11:00 am on July 10, 2024 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. The family will begin greeting friends at 10:00 AM.
