Mary Frances Carter Hart, 90, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. Mary Frances was the daughter of the late Eva and Ashby Carter, and was born and raised in Milford, Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth M. Swisher; her brothers Hugh Carter, James Taylor Carter, Ross “Bud” Carter; her sisters Margaret Carter Sparks, Ruth Carter Homan, and Elsie Carter Mundie.
She is survived by her three daughters, Diane Jones (Alvin) of Hoschton, Ga., Betsy Carter (Billy) of Bowling Green, Va., Catherine Pollard (Jerry) of Fredericksburg, Va.; three sons, Kevin Swisher (Cathy) of Ruther Glen, Va., Keith Swisher (Lorraine) of Spotsylvania, Va., and David Swisher Jr. of Spotsylvania, Va.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 2 great- great- grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
