Linda Lynn Strickland

She is survived by her daughters, Shelli Dawn, Shay Farrah, Mary-Ambler Lynn, and Alicia Beth; her stepson, Aaron Wheeler; a sister, Rosemary Aigeldinger; ten grandchildren, Nichole Brianna, Xavier Nicholas, Natalya Lynn, Sophia Lynn, Alexander Mardonio, Azura August-Birch, Abby, Ana, Laurel, and Sophia; and her great grandson, Harper James.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James M. Strickland Sr. and Laverne T. McGowan; a brother, James Strickland Jr. and her life partner, Edward M. Wheeler.

Linda was a lover of music, travel, and reading. Her favorite pastime was floating down the James River with Ed and her friends and spending her days soaking up the sun on the beaches in North Carolina. Linda loved to watch the birds on her porch and draw homemade cards of her plants for her friends and family.

She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Our Momma, Mom, Mommy, Marmie, Mother, Ma, Awesome-Ma, Grandmother, Grandma, Graham Cracker; Our RoknRolMom, you will forever be missed and forever in our hearts. Your girls are better women because of you. You were proud of us without knowing how proud we were of you. We love you.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Lung Association.
