John Bourne, 69 of Falmouth, VA went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2011 after a courageous and brave battle with cancer.
John was a loving husband and father.
He was born on December 7, 1942 to Stansbury and Lucy (Monteith) Bourne.
Survivors include his loving wife Dorothy Bourne; three sons, John Bourne (Susie), Jeffrey Bourne (Buffy) and Michael Bourne (Jessica); along with his daughter, Kathy Carpenter; eleven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Diane Jacobs and Leola Thompson.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, December 28 at 11 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fredericksburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to charity of choice.
