He was born on April 8, 1938 in Wichita, KS the son of the late Earl and Juanita (Bird) Parker. Jerry was a retired Master Sergeant from the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country for 26 years.
Survivors include his wife, Oliva (Ford) Parker; three sons, Lonnie Hitchcock (Vicki) of Clear Brook, VA, Larry Parker (Rhonda) of Fredericksburg, VA, Robin Parker (Megan) of Stafford, VA; two daughters, Sherri Pittinger (Andy) of Fredericksburg, VA, Kim Shelton (Darrell) of Stafford, VA. His son, Lloyd Leslie Hitchcock, preceded him in death.
Jerry had 17 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 10:00-11:00am at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am with Rev. John Hodgen officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fredericksburg, VA.
