

She was born on August 1, 1933, in Nashville, Tennessee, daughter of James Bateman and Annie L. (Hall) Bateman. She loved the lord and was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, in Chicago, where she became an usher. She was a civil rights activist.
She is survived by her son, Rev. Dr. Marietto Jeffries (Michelle); six grandchildren, Marietto II, Kristopher (Nailah), Apryl (Dennis), Asia (Steven), Kai (Alitra), Kayla, numerous great grandchildren, a niece, and numerous nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Albert Jeffries and daughter Vericia Jeffries.
Memorial and internment for Jamesetta Jeffries will be conducted on her 90th birthday, August 1, 2023 at 10am. Her remains will be laid to rest with her husband Albert Jeffries whom is at rest in the Veterans, Brigadier General William C. Doyle Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, New Jersey, 08562.
