George was proud to be an American and so very proud of his service in the United States Air Force from 1955-1975. He was a Military Police K9 Handler and Master Instructor. When he returned home from Vietnam and Thailand he became a Recruiter. After retiring from the USAF, he moved his family to Springfield, Virginia where he went to work as a security police officer at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, DC. He spent a year there then moved onto the Library of Congress Police force. His dream was to have his own home after having a military career and traveling from state to state, he had a home built in Manassas, Virginia in 1976. He loved having his own property and taking care of it. George then got the travel bug after leaving his work at the Library of Congress, he purchased a tractor trailer and drove long haul for North American Van Lines. After his trucking adventures across the United States he came back home to Manassas and went to work for the United Postal Service where he drove their big rigs. George spent 5 years with the USPS and had a second retirement with the government. However he couldn’t sit still for long so he went on to drive a school bus for Manassas Christian Academy in Manassas, Virginia. George loved the Red Sox and Patriots, he was a passionate fan and was so happy to see the Red Sox win a world series in his lifetime!
