Duard Wetzel Van Hoy

Duard Wetzel Van Hoy, age 92, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Mary Washington Hospital. He was born on November 30, 1930, in Marion, VA, son of the late Ralph and Stella Van Hoy. He served in the United State Air Force. He started a regional water well drilling company in Fredericksburg following his father in this industry, Van's Construction Co. In his free time, he liked woodworking and most importantly love salt-water fishing on his boat. He loved his two dogs very much. He was preceded in death by his spouse Kathleen Van Hoy; parents, Ralph Van Hoy and Stella Van Hoy; brothers, Hubert Van Hoy and Willis Van Hoy. He is survived by his sons, John Van Hoy and Billy Van Hoy and his wife Tami; grandchildren, Victoria Saadatmand, Kyle Van Hoy and Shane Van Hoy. A visitation for Duard will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 pM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
