Debbie was creative and had an eye for crafting; in fact, she loved making wreaths, she took an old headboard refinished it for a fireplace mantle. Also, she would make holiday decoration and year round household decor. When her girls were younger, she made bows and barrettes, and other crafts for her daughter's elementary school craft fairs. When she wasn’t using her talent and creativity, she loved playing Cookie Jam and other games on her computer.
She was known by all to be strong, stubborn, and have a big loving heart. Debbie’s favorite season was summer, she hated to be cold, she loved tulips, marigolds, and she loved riding around on the motorcycle with Kenny.
Debbie is survived by her better half, Kenneth Johnson, Sr., her parents, Richard and Rachel Bortz; daughters, Leeann Hoe (David Hoe, Jr.) and Cristy O'Connor (Michael O'Connor); sons, Michael, Kenny Wayne, Timmy, and Brandon; and sisters, Connie, Susan, and Judy; and many grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 29 from 12pm to 4 pm at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Highway, Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401.
