Christine Cassidy MacLeod

Christine was born in Jacksonville, Fla. As a loving wife and mother, Christine was devoted to her husband and her four beautiful children. Christine earned a master's degree in early childhood education. She was a former teacher with the U.S. Department of Defense dependent school system in Germany, and a substitute teacher with Stafford County public schools. She was involved with the Dixon-Smith Middle School PTA.

Christine enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, as well as crafting, sewing and knitting. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Christine will be dearly missed by all her family, friends and neighbors.

Survivors include her husband, Glenn, of Fredericksburg; her children, Rachel (age 21), Ian (17), Mary (15) and Alex (12), all of Fredericksburg; and siblings Mary, Marcia and Daniel, all of Jacksonville, Fla.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Triangle. Interment will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
