IN THE CARE OF
Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service
Carter William Roark, age 2, passed away on April 21, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 13, 2021 in Spotsylvania, Virginia. He spent his little life bravely fighting congenital heart disease.
Although Carter faced many medical challenges, his courage and resilience have been an inspiration to us all. He taught us the true meaning of strength, perseverance, and unconditional love. He had the ability to light up every room with his infectious smile, playful spirit, and boundless affection. He will forever be remembered by his quirky smirks, natural mohawk, and his deep passion for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
Carter leaves behind a legacy of love.
He is survived by his mother, Samantha Corthon; and siblings, Kaiden (10) and Addison (6) Roark; his grandparents, James Corthon, Michelle Runyon, Bill (Sabrina) Roark Jr, and Christal Allen; and by his great-grandparents.
Carter will also be greatly missed by his uncle, Ryan (Also known as Uncle Daddy RyRy); aunts, Jessica and Caitlin Corthon; and his cousins who were more like siblings – Conolly, Caroline, and Cayson Corthon. Many extended family members to include as well.
Though Carter’s time with us was far too short, the love he shared will continue to guide us through the days ahead. He is no longer spending his days tired and hurting but instead guiding us all while being in the arms of his great-grandparents passed before him.
A visitation for Carter will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service in Fredericksburg, Virginia. A celebration of life will follow at 6:00 pm.
