William "Willy" Randolph Pogue, age 75, of Franklin, Ohio passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025. Willy was born on June 23, 1949 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Admiral William Grady and Mary Ellen (Appleby) Pogue. He was married August 1975 to his loving wife Tora Kaye (Sanders) Pogue.
Willy had a joyful, adventurous spirit to say the least, if there was an ounce of joy in the day he would find it; the true epitome of living life to its fullest. He and Tora Kaye in almost 50 years have experienced many adventures around the United States, making countless life long friends and memories. Willy was an avid outdoorsman, from the land, sea and everything in between. His adventurous activities and trips would range from Riding his motorcycle, skiing the lake, Jeeping, Trains, ATV's and Kayaking. Along with his adventures, Willy worked as a law enforcement officer serving his community both in Norfolk, Virginia, and then retiring after serving over 27 years as Deputy Sheriff of Warren County Ohio protecting the thin blue line. This was a job he not only took pride in, but loved; It has been said he would give his own Mother a ticket. I tell ya he’s been everywhere man from possum holler, to Conley bottom,up by the moonshine still but the place he loved the most was riding in those hills.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
