

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Doty whom she married on January 20,1951.
Wanita was a 1946 graduate of Monroe High School, She worked as a secretary at Sorg Paper Company. She was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church participating in several groups including Helping Hands, Secretary of the Good Fellowship Group, Treasurer of the United Methodist Women's Group and was a former Sunday school teacher. She was a longtime member of several branches/lodges of the I.O.O.F. Wanita was a volunteer dispatcher of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department, served as president of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and was an original EMT member of the Monroe Volunteer Emergency Squad. She was made an honorary member of the Lemon-Monroe High School Thespian Troupe 1709 in 1974. Wanita was named the Monroe Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the year in 1976. She enjoyed League Bowling at Sports Bowl and Eastern Lanes.
She is survived by her three daughters, Dorothy Doty, Diane (Thomas) Ballweg, Deborah (Jenni Clarkson) Doty; granddaughter,Alane (Brad Christianson) Ballweg; grandson, Evan (Kathryn) Ballweg; great-grandson, Henry Ballweg. The family thanks Steve Combs, Frances and Tim Propps, C.C Clemmons, and Doug Daniels Family for their friendship and assistance.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 5:00 pm-7:00 pm at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin Street Middletown, OH with an I.O.O.F Lodge Ceremony at 6:45pm.
Funeral services are Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00 am also at the funeral home with Joel Harbarger officiating. Burial to follow North Monroe Cemetery.
