Roy Barton

Roy R. J. Barton, age 89, of Cincinnati, died Friday, October 14, 2011 at Ft. Thomas VA Center of lung cancer. He was born January 15, 1922 in Decize, France, the son of William Barton and Marie Jarre Barton. Roy was a self-employed barber for 73 years. He was a member of the VFW, Elks, Wildwood Country Club, American Legion Post #218, and Lincoln Lodge #693 F&AM. He is survived by three daughters, Billy Meehan of South Pasadena, Florida, Marilyn Barton of Cincinnati, Chantal Barton of Charlotte, NC; two granddaughters, Monica Dietz and Dina Bryan; three great grandchildren, Collin Dietz, Tanner Bryan, Rene Dietz; and one sister, Billy Lamb of Middletown. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, at the St. John's Catholic Church with Father John Civille officiating. Visitation will be 5-8:00 PM Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home. Entombment will be at the Woodside Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Roy Barton, Ft. Thomas VA Medical Center, 1000 S. Ft. Thomas Avenue, Ft. Thomas, KY 41075.
