Rickie Jean Helton

She was married to Willie G. Helton, who preceded her in death in 1973. They had one son Michael G. Helton.

Rickie worked for Twin Fair/Meijer from 1973 - 1988 as a cashier and bookkeeper. Rickie also worked as a correctional officer at Warren Correctional Institution from 1989 - 2005.

She enjoyed singing music, sewing and quilting, traveling, being a snowbird for 16 years in Melbourne, Florida, and playing with her grandchildren, especially her favorite, Kaitlyn. She also belonged to VFW post # 3809, Fraternal Order of Eagles # 528, and the Women of the Moose # 183; where she has served many chairs such as, Chaplain, Jr. Regent, Sr. Regent, Academy of Friendship, Sr. Grad, Lady in Waiting, and Red Stole.

She was preceded in death her parents, Stewart and Phyllis Jean Keith; husband, Willie G. Helton; boyfriend, Edwin Ronald Ellen; sister, Tina Rae Gabbard; and brothers, Richard, and Timothy Keith.

Rickie is survived by one wonderful son, Michael G. (Gwen) Helton; 3 precious grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Hunter, and Morgan Helton; as well as extended family, and friends.

A visitation for Rickie will be held Friday, February 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. Entombment will immediately follow at Woodside Cemetery.
