Ralph “Chief” Bane, age 74, of Middletown, Ohio passed away peacefully Saturday July 7, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born in Richmond, Indiana March 12, 1944 to Frank C. and Lois L. Hughes Bane. Ralph treasured his childhood in Greensfork and Richmond, Indiana with his family and friends. He moved to Middletown, Ohio where he prided himself on delivering the Middletown Journal to his customers on time every single day, eventually becoming circulation manager until his retirement from Cox Ohio Publishing. He then enjoyed working for Stoner Holsters where he was proud of their hand made products. He also worked at Hillbilly Heaven with his late friend Jenny B. Ralph enjoyed all of his family and friends, and loved coaching softball for his daughters.
Survivors include his children: Rejeana Ellis, Ralph (Wendy) Bane II, Angie (Robert) Brooks, Stacey (Mike) Burggraf, Teresa (Joshua) Miller, Samantha (Jimmy) Bane, and Kristina (Eric) Coon; sisters, Shirley Lorenz of Eaton, Ohio, and Janice Moyer and Marilyn (Richard) Love of Richmond Indiana; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends including special friend ex-wife Debbie Brooks with whom he has remained close.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara Hughes and Pamela Reisert; and brother, Frank “Sonny” Bane Jr.
Visitation for Ralph “Chief” Bane will be from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, July 12th, 2018, at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home, 517 South Sutphin St, Middletown, Ohio. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jesse Combs officiating. Burial will be in Greens Fork South Cemetery in Greens Fork, Indiana at the convenience of the family.
