Mike is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Karem McClusky who was always by his side, loving daughter Tracy Donovan, Son-In-Law Tracy Donovan, and grandson Austin Smith.
Mike graduated from Piqua High School in 1960. He earned his BA from Eastern Kentucky University in Education and a master’s degree in administration from Xavier University. Mike was a lifelong passionate educator. He was employed in Franklin City Schools for 32 years, where he started as a PE teacher and retired as an Elementary School Principal. Mike also notably served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Mike’s infectious laugh, relaxed nature and out-going personality filled a room. He enjoyed his pipe, a cold “beverage”, his family, and friends. You could often find him doing yard work, hanging in the garage with friends, boating on Norris Lake with his family or at the casino with Peggy.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at Anderson Funeral Home in Franklin, OH on January 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be from 1:00PM-2:00PM, with a memorial service immediately following.
