Linda Susan Canter

Linda Susan Canter, age 73, of Reesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 after a strong and courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio on November 11, 1949 to the late William and Hallie Pigg (Rader).

Linda worked as a first responder in Ely, Minnesota where she and her husband owned and operated Shig-Wak Resort for almost 10 years. She loved the outdoors, but her biggest love was being with her family and grandchildren. She was artistic throughout her life; taking up painting, drawing or stained glass work. She was also an avid reader. One of her favorite pastimes was whooping her families ass in any game, particularly Scrabble.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and soul mate of 32 years Michael Canter; sisters, Brenda Gerber and Barbara Pigg; and brother, William Pigg Jr.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Amanda (Craig) Hammon; sons, Travis (Donyell) Culbertson, Brett (Katie) Canter, James (Sonya) Canter, and Justin (Katy) Canter; grandchildren, Lauren Culbertson, Avery Hammon, Karlie Hammon, Ellie Hammon, Wyatt Canter, Gavin Canter, Jonah Canter, Adam Canter, Lucas Canter and Olive Canter; and sister, Marti Maples.

A visitation for Linda will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005.
