It is with great sadness we announce that Linda Sue Berry, 78 of Franklin, Ohio unexpectedly left for her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024. Linda was born June 2, 1946 in Middletown Ohio.
She joins her mother and father Clara and Robert Hunt, her beloved husband David, her sister Phyllis (Fred) Newman, and son in law Dale Noble in heaven.
Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked at Miami Valley Gaming for 7 years and enjoyed her role as a Player Services Representative where she was affectionately known as Grandma Linda. Linda’s work ethic was unmatched. She previously worked at her and her husband’s carpet business for 28 years. Linda worked circles around others, she did not shy away from hard work.
When Linda was not at work she enjoyed spending time with her family. She and her daughter Sue could be found fishing together, running errands, or playing phone tag with each other. It was not uncommon to hear Linda say daily, “I missed a call from Sue, I need to call her back.” Linda was a devoted mother to her son Michael Joe, whom she affectionately called Joe. She supported his career in horse racing and always placed her bet on the horse in the 5th spot. She said it was her lucky number because she has 5 grandchildren.
Linda will be missed terribly. Her sense of humor, determination to do it herself no matter the task, persistence, and stubbornness are just a few of the qualities about Linda that made her a one of a kind woman. Her family finds solace in knowing she is no longer troubled by physical ailments and is now casting a fishing line in heaven with her husband David.
She is survived by her daughter Peggy Sue Noble, son Michael Joe Berry. 5 grandchildren, James Michael (Mike) Noble, Samantha Noble, Felicia (Ben) Ryan, Michael D. Berry, Jessica (Chris) Lorimer. 10 great grandchildren. Justin, Zoey, Donaven, Serenity, Clint, Gregory, Autumn, Jack, Daisy, and Violet. Her brother Richard (Gail) Hunt and several nieces and nephews.
The immediate family will be celebrating Linda’s life Monday September 30th, 2024. Burial will be at Woodhill Cemetery.
