Leon Keen

Leon Keen, age 74, of Springboro, Ohio passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Austin Trace Health & Rehab Facility. Leon was born in Dayton, OH on April 30, 1950 to the late James A. and Nonita (McCowan) Keen.

Leon was a graduate of Springboro High School class of 1968 and received his Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering from Tennessee Tech in 1972. He was an Industrial Engineer with General Motors Delphi for 32 years retiring in 2005. Leon was a longtime member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church in Carlisle.

Leon was preceded in death by his son, Clayton Keen in 2019. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia Keen; his two daughters, Rebekah (Pat) Reed, Stacie (Aaron) Damron; his three grandchildren, Haddie Keen, Maya Damron, Mason Damron; his siblings, Ron (Carol) Keen, Lonnie Keen, Linda (Ken) Parks, Tony Keen and his daughter-in-law, Sarah Keen.

Leon was a devoted husband, father, and papaw, he lived a life in service to others. He loved turning a stranger into a new friend and his only known enemies were the local crappie. There will be fish out there for the rest of you to catch now.

A visitation for Leon will be Friday, September 13, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Hillcrest Baptist Church, 860 Central Ave, Carlisle, OH, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with Pastor Larry Lambes and Sherrill Jennings officiting. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery.
