Julie Lynn Reel passed from our world on September 15, 2022 at the age of 53. She remained active and strong-minded despite compounding medical issues. She is the daughter of the late Cliff and Kathryn (Kenney) Reel. She graduated from Franklin High School with the class of 1987 and pursued a career in medicine starting out as a certified nurse's aid and later becoming a licensed practical nurse.
Julie is survived by her only son, Alex, who she loved and protected above all else. She was a dedicated sister to her siblings and their spouses, Mark (Lindsay), Joe (Rebekah), Ann (Mark), and Karen (Dale). Julie was the proud Aunt of Christopher, Elizabeth, Megan, Jennifer, Joshua, Emily, Rylee, Gabriel, Tenley, Gia, and was the Great Aunt to the newest additions to our family: Ayonna and Ana.
Julie will be forever missed by those she had helped, loved, and comforted in their time of need. Though her modesty kept her against any formal service or gathering in her memory, the family encourages you to send messages of peace, hope, love and to perform acts of kindness to honor the life she shared with you.
The following is a poem for Julie written by her son, Alex:
When the skies are grey and the rain pours down on my head.
I'll remember it was you who kissed my little head.
You raised me to be kind and always stay safe.
I know you are now in a happier place.
As I age and grow old, your love I will still hold.
Never to forget anything you said.
Because it's those words I dream of when I go to bed.
Even though you are no longer here,
I will remember your love and wipe my tears.
