John A Riley

John A Riley, age 81 of Carlisle, Ohio passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on July, 20th, 2023. John was born February 6, 1942 in Breathitt Co., KY to the late Jim and Haney (Cornett) Riley.

John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Donna Faye (Back) Riley; brothers, Robert, James, and Rodney Riley; sister-in-law Beverly (Sallie) Riley.

He was a loving father to his daughters, Lisa (Eric) Hoffman, Lori (Andy) Holbrook, and Celia Blevins Hall; his sons, John Riley and Bob Riley; a loving papaw to 12 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; brother, Ernie Riley; sister, Mary Sue (Alan) Hamilton and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.

John worked in construction for 65 years with multiple companies and retiring from Joe Johnson Construction. He was a member of the Franklin Eagles 2309 and a member of the VFW 7596. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his family dearly and was loved by all who met him.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at Anderson Funeral Homes (1357 E. 2nd Street, Franklin, Ohio 45005). A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm following the visitation. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
