Jack Lewis Hembree surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at his home. He was born May 24, 1938 in Trosper, Kentucky, the son of Robert Hembree and Lounette Stewart Hembree. During his service in the U.S. Army he worked as an orderly in the military hospital in Germany. He worked at Armco for 30 years. Jack was also President of Jack Hembree Realty Inc. and several car dealerships. He was an active member of Grace Baptist Church where he served as trustee. Jack was loved very much by his family and friends, and his passing will leave a void in our hearts. He is survived by his devoted wife, Amy Mantz Hembree; his children, Robby wife, Heather Hembree of Barboursville, Kentucky, Sheri Howard of West Chester, Ohio, Jeffrey wife, Dawn Hembree of Fairfield, Ohio and two additional sons/grandsons, Jeff Hembree II and Isaiah Hembree; grandchildren, Krystle Josh Wirth, Kaitlyn, Dakota and Ashley Howard; brothers, Robert Loretta Hembree of Elwood, Indiana, Arthur Lorene Hembree of Harrodsburg, KY, Charles Pam Hembree of Frostproof, FL, Jerry Martha Hembree of Moultrie, Georgia, Danny Carolyn Hembree of Artemus, KY; and sister, Kay Ray Mills of Bloomfield, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas Hembree, Paul Ray Hembree, Donald Hembree and sisters, Shirley Hall and Jean Louise Hembree. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon, Saturday at the Grace Baptist Church with Dr. Roger Green and Dr. Max Fernandez officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be at the Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Middletown Christian Schools for the Hembree Scholarship Fund, c/o Grace Baptist Church.
