Herb was the epitamy of God's light shining brightly through a life...... What an example you have been!

Lit a candle in memory of Herbert Lee Bunch

Very sorry to learn of Herb's passing.  I saw him for many years at the Long Reunion in Deep Creek Lake Park.  Always friendly, cheerful, outgoing, funloving.  We even played some basketball games together at the court just a stone's throw from the pavilion.  Seems like just yesterday.  Wally McClure  Hagerstown, MD

Herb was a true and loyal friend. I met Herb just after he turned nineteen and I met his girlfriend, Patti, maybe it was a year later. We served together at two bases stateside, and at one overseas country at different bases at nearly the same times. I caught up to Herb about five years later and it was like we had not been apart. Then, on with our lives and families and about twelve years ago we connected again and with another veteran and mutual friend, Ken. As before, it was if Herb and I were never separated from each other’s lives. Last year Gail and I drove down from Cleveland to help in the celebration of Herb’s and that one time girlfriend’s 50th wedding anniversary! That is a big deal and Gail and I needed to recognize it because of these two much loved blessings in our lives. These are the emotions that our friends inspired in us. Three weeks ago during a visit and greeting Herb again, I extended my hand to Herb and he pulled me in for the bear hug. He and I spent time together boating at Caesar Creek Lake that second to last weekend of last month. The four of us met at various locations over these recent years and took excursions together. We always enjoyed our visits and we were encouraged always to have more visits with the generous warmth we experienced with our friends. We are very happy that they were part of our lives during all of these times and Herb will always remain with us for the blessing of his friendship. His memory will always be in our smiles. His friendship does not end. With sadness and a happy pride he was our friend. - - Raz and Gail

To Patty and the Dooley family my sincere sympathy and prayers on the loss of Herb. I have great memories of Ed and I and Jean and Whitey and Patty and Herb on Kalbfleisch rd doing things together . We were all so young back then.  He was such a nice guy. Prayers for you:pray:

We used to attend church with Herb and Patty.  Always a friendly hug and smile. He was so kind and caring to everyone and always ready with a big welcome to newcomers.  We will miss him, but I am sure he is resting in the loving arms of Jesus and having a wonderful time visiting all of his loved ones in heaven. Until we meet again dear friend.

Uncle Herb was the best uncle  we could ever have and always there for us. We loved him so much. He was our uncle, friend, and a man of God and lives on in our memories that we shared together. He left a wonderful legacy by how he lived his life sharing love,time, food, stories and his love for Jesus. We are better because we got to be a part of his life. We will miss him.and very thankful God placed him in our life’s .

Uncle Herb was the best Uncle anyone could have. He was a great friend and a man of God and was always there for us. We loved him more than we can express and will miss him very much. He left a wonderful legacy by the way he lived his life and in the life’s he touched .
