Harry Marshall Ward (aka The Mountain Man), age 92, of Middletown, Ohio went Home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 1, 2024. He was born in Hinton, West Virginia on February 4, 1932, the son of the late Clarence and Macil (Adkins) Ward. He is also preceded in death by two wives, Stella Ward and Shirley Ward and his son, Marshall Ward.
Harry is survived by his wife, Jeanette Bowman; five children, John (Jeanne) Ward, Curtis (Rebecca) Ward, Clint (Barb) Ward, Renee Ward, Dona Ward; a brother, Luke (Brenda) Ward and a sister, Phyllis Gillum. He is survived by 15 grandchildren, as well as numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was proud and dedicated veteran of the United States Army and a longtime active member of the Dixie Highway Christian Center. Harry was a licensed minister and an avid fisherman.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Dixie Highway Christian Center, 5287 Dixie Highway, Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Shawn Bowling officiating. Interment will follow in Woodhill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
