June was a faithful Christian, prayer warrior, and family historian and messenger of all things Hitte and Murphy.   I will miss her phone calls to fill us in on someone's illness or passing.   Now she is rejoicing with our host of heritage.  Who will pick up the mantle and carry on?
To the family, we convey our deepest sympathy.  You are in our thoughts and prayers that God will  give comfort.

               Grandma was one-of-a-kind.
              She liked to look nice and to help other people look nice too.  I remember her cutting my hair all throughout my childhood. I enjoyed sitting in the chair and having Grandma wash my hair with that good-smelling shampoo. It’s funny how little details stick with us.
               I also remember each winter getting to pick out a new pair of the slippers that Grandma had made. I looked forward to seeing all of the colors that she used. I would wear my pair until they got holes in them; then, I would get to pick a replacement pair from Grandma's seemingly endless supply. I still have a couple of pairs that she made for me.
              Even though in recent years distance separated us, we were still able to connect through texts and FaceTime. I felt her love as she loved my son Marcus and showed support for him as he grew up. Marcus remembers riding down the basement stairs with her in her chair the last time we visited their house. 
              Most of all, I loved talking to her and Grandpa about the Bible. Much of our FaceTime calls were spent talking about the Lord. These are times  that I treasure, and I will never forget them.

Beloved Nana,
You poured love and blessings abundantly into my life. You are the small voice asking me if this is what God would have me do.
Your prayers and unconditional love held me together during the very worst time in my life. 
You walked with my family as we healed and never failed to encourage or pray no matter the time.
You my sweet Nana are “a keeper”.
From hospitality, to prayer warrior, cheerleader, and my best friend, you poured yourself into loving others.

A reflection of God’s love, mercy, and grace.

I look forward to the day we can rejoice and sing together for Jesus.
My daughters look up to you, my son will continue to search FaceTime for you and he will grow up with stories about:
The strong hard working woman who sacrificed for her family.
A woman of integrity who believed even the hard conversations were led by God and prayed that when her words failed to convey her love that The Holy Spirit would whisper to the heart of the recipient.
Organizer of literally every detail and never missed a birthday, anniversary, or memorial of a loved one.
Most importantly a beloved daughter of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords who ran her race with endurance and was welcomed into glory as a good and faithful daughter.

Thank you for being you. 
I love you always and will miss you dearly.

Aunt June, 
I have so many sweet memories, but today what stands out to me most is you doing Alena’s hair for my wedding. 
For hours you worked, though your hands were sore, to make her into the perfect flower girl. 
What I remember was service, 
and the way I always knew what you needed was to feel seen, 
and how I could see you for who you were:
A rememberer, 
a record keeper, 
a preserver of beauty and memories. 

I love you and will miss you, and I am sad I can’t say it, but I hope somehow you’re reading this today.
