Gary Layne Smith Sr.

Gary retired from OPW after working their for over 40 years. In his spare time he loved corvettes, watching Andy Griffith, and building model cars. He was also a devoted member of the House of Prayer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Connie Smith.

Gary is survived by his wife, Cora Smith (Disher); daughter, Rebecca (Art) Brooks; sons, Gary Jr. (Bethany) Smith, and Timothy (Jessica) Smith; grandchildren, Annmarie, Hannahleah, Xander, and Zelia; stepson Edward Brooks (fiance, Dorothy Brown), and step grandchildren, Tucker Brooks, and Elizabeth (Will) Humphrey; and step-great-granddaughter, Lola Humphrey; sister, Theresa Goodman; and brother, Larry (Susan) Smith.

A visitation for Gary will be held Monday, June 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at House of Prayer, 728 Forest Avenue, Franklin, OH 45005, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
